Festival, Concerts and Outdoor Events

Following the introduction of the 2003 Licensing Act events that will attract fewer than 499 people and are held at a venue that does not have the benefit of a Premises Licence can apply to licence the event under a Temporary Events Notices. For events that are likely to attract 500 people or more a Premises Licence will be required. A Temporary Events Notices or a Premises Licence may also be required for  an outdoor event such as a village fete, a wedding in marquee, a County fair, or an open air concert if entertainment or the sale of intoxicants or the supply of late night food is to be offered. As you can imagine these types of applications will need to be tailored to suit the occasion.

Four Counties Licensing Services can assist you with the preparation and submission of the correct application and if needed we can liaise with the relevant authorities prior to the preparation and submission of the application to ensure your applications stands the best chance of success.

We have successfully obtained an annual licence to licence a village in Leicestershire to enable it to host the “Heart of the Forest Festival 2007” which consisted of a procession of floats along the High Street, a show ground and arena events, plus a fun fair and a market. The licence will also enable the organisers to stage up to 10 similar events within the village throughout the year without the need to apply for another licence.

If you are planning anything from a reception for a family wedding at an unlicensed venue, through to organising a fully fledged concert we can assist you with the preparation and submission of the correct type of licensing application.
