Kevin Bradley – A Potted History
Kevin joined the pub business in 1975, working for Ansells Brewery in Birmingham and became involved in Licensing in 1986 making weekly appearances before the Birmingham Licensing Justices in support of all types of licensing applications. This role developed and by 1995 Kevin was Head of Licensing for Allied Domecq and responsible for all licensing matters nationwide for a managed house estate of 1100 pubs, clubs, restaurants and hotels.
Punch Taverns purchased the managed house division of Allied Domecq in 1996
and Kevin’s employment as Head of Licensing transferred to them. The managed house division of Punch Taverns became the Spirit Group in 1999 and the Company grew with the acquisition of the Tom Cobleigh and Scottish and Newcastle managed house estates to approximately 2000 managed houses, making Spirit Group the largest managed house pub company in the Country.
During 2004/05 Kevin readied the Spirit Group for the transition onto the 2003 Licensing Act and the conversion and variation of all their Justices Licences to Premises & Personal Licences. This exercise was undertaken by Kevin and his in house team and every licence was converted prior to the Second Appointed Date.
Kevin left the Spirit Group in April 2006 to establish Four Counties Licensing Services but continues to work with the Spirit Group and is pleased to list them as one of his clients. |
